Bio:
Anat Loewenstein, MD, one of the most well-known retina specialists worldwide, is Full Professor of Ophthalmology, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Sidney Fox Chair of Ophthalmology at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine at the Tel Aviv University, and Head of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Tel Aviv Medical Center. Among her research interests, Professor Loewenstein worked on the development of early detection technologies for AMD, on the non-toxicity of bevacizumab to the retina and sustained-release drug delivery devices for retinal diseases. She is currently active in the research and clinical studies about home monitoring of retinal diseases and augmented-reality 3-D surgery.
